What perfect timing. I do believe the Warden is growing sick of us being outside of the village, so I will return soon and be able to read them. I appreciate your diligence on this matter.

Though that's not to say I don't think you don't behave, but you're much more mischievous than you're making yourself out?

For some reason it sounds as if you're arguing the point so that you can do as you please. Since you're an adult I can hardly scold you. But I don't know if your opinion of me is completely accurate either. A little teasing every now and then is not the same as full mischief, is it?

Didn't you help me take a large number of books from the library the first day I was here knowing full well I had no intentions of returning them?
I still appreciate that very much. Just unfortunate you've missed the consequences. The library had me running around as a squid the other day.

Oh my, did you not intend to return them? You didn't tell me that, so I couldn't have possibly known. If you had told me I would have warned you about the consequences, after all. I've seen others experience them firsthand.

But a squid, you say? Is the younger form of an outer god a squid? I admit that I am a little disappointed to have not seen it, but I do prefer being able to talk to you more. Did you get a picture by chance?

That is true. I wasn't very clear in my intentions, was I? I suppose I'll claim fault there.
If any of the good samaritans I ran into that day took a pic without me knowing, I'll be sure to send it along. There was a number of "cute" remarks about it.
And I think I just ended up as a squid because Outer Gods tend to have a oceanic theme in appearances, largely of the cephalopod variety--squids, octopi, etc... just my luck it was a squid.

If you do find out that there are photos, and it isn't a bother, I would like one for informational purposes. I would like to know what you look like when transformed so I can recognize you. You're quite lucky that someone didn't mistake you for a meal that had snuck out of the diner. I would have been worried if I had been there at the time! But I'm glad that everyone else was able to help. It sounds like you've learned your lesson...?

It'd be hard to miss it? Normal squids aren't covered in stars and galaxies.
But as for lessons learned... I guess you could say I have a new appreciation for a Library's will to maintain its books?

I would have thought that "don't steal" would be the lesson there. But yours isn't bad either.

Hopefully it doesn't happen again, of course. I was expecting a photograph and not a live demonstration.
And while your perspective is certainly different from mine, I suspect that the lesson most relevant is whatever the library is looking for. Since its punishment is to ensure that it doesn't happen again.
