Chandelure. She is a beautiful ghost and fire type one, and has been my brother's constant partner since we were both verrrry young.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but are "ghost types" a very common kind of Pokemon? I would have thought that most people would be unsettled by a ghost.

Common enough, but many people are still put off by them. Except for my brother, of course. He raised her from a little Litwick.

They must be very close then! Saturn did make mention that the bond between a Pokemon and their trainer can be quite strong.
